At our nursery in Whitechapel, we are passionate about outdoor learning and believe it is a wonderful way for children to engage in meaningful activities while benefiting from the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The fresh air provides a calming and relaxing environment, while the open space supports both physical development and positive mental health.
Our front outdoor area is designed to cater to every child’s needs, with a mud kitchen for imaginative play, plenty of open space for tricycles, and playhouses for social interaction. In contrast, our rear garden features a canopy, making it the perfect space for play in most weather conditions.
We are also fortunate to be surrounded by a range of enriching local amenities. We regularly visit Spitalfields Farm, the local Idea Store library for singing, storytime, and to nurture a love of reading, as well as other small community farms that the children adore.
Through these opportunities, our children benefit not only from our carefully planned outdoor spaces but also from the diverse and vibrant surroundings of our community, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing every day..
