Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Pay: £13.75 – £14.25 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: 38–40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Position: Full-time, all-year round
Age Group: 9 months – 5 years (flexibility required across rooms)

About the Role

Early Steps Daycare is looking for a passionate and reliable Level 3 Practitioner to join our small, supportive team.

This role is suited to someone who is confident working across different age groups and is committed to delivering high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with EYFS requirements

  • Act as a Key Person, supporting children’s learning and development

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities

  • Observe and track children’s progress accurately

  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers

  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times

  • Work as part of a team, including shared responsibilities such as maintaining a clean and organised environment

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (DfE recognised)

  • Experience working with children aged 0–5 years

  • Good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A positive and proactive attitude

Important Information

  • This is not a term-time only role

  • All staff are expected to work across different age groups when required
