Communication and Language in the EYFS

Communication and Language is a vital area of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. It focuses on developing children’s speaking, listening, and understanding skills. Through stories, songs, conversations, and play-based experiences, children build strong foundations for literacy, social interaction, and lifelong learning.

We provide a language-rich environment where every child is supported to express themselves confidently, listen attentively, and engage in meaningful communication.

Below are some pictures of our children enjoying and engaging in Communication and Language activities.
